Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic that helps to treat travellers’ diarrhoea. It is not effective to treat this condition in south or southeast Asia.
Ciprofloxacin helps patients to recover from a bout of travellers’ diarrhoea. Ciprofloxacin antibiotics kill bacteria that cause the travellers’ diarrhoea.
Always use Ciprofloxacin 500mg as advised by your doctor or pharmacist, reading the patient information carefully before first. The general dose is for one tablet and should be taken twice a day for three days.
Space the tablets out evenly by taking one in the morning and one in the evening with a space of 12 hours in between. These tablets can be taken with or without food.
To avoid antibiotic resistance, only take antibiotics when necessary and do not ever share them with other people.
